New Hampshire Gets Even More SocialNew Hampshire Adds Facebook Page, Enhances Webiste
TORONTO – The New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development (DTTD) has launched its Facebook Fan Page- “VisitNH” as well as several upgrades and new features to its official website, www.visitnh.gov.
“Canadians are one of the biggest users of Facebook in the world with millions accessing it daily and the VisitNH Facebook page features seasonal videos, unique events, as well as offers Fans a personal connection where they can interact directly with the state, upload their New Hampshire trip photos and videos and find information specific to their interests,” said Chris Ryall, Canadian representative for the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development. “Social media is a key part of the integrated marketing and communications strategy, utilizing traditional and new media channels to attract visitors to New Hampshire,” added Ryall.
New Hampshire has also enhanced its website, www.visitnh.gov that makes planning a trip even easier. Some of the new features and improvements include: · Visitors with web-enabled cell phones can access mobile versions of key web pages designed specifically for on-the-go travellers, including searchable lodging and restaurant listings and our events calendar to find specific activities wherever they are in the state. · Expanded itineraries – including three new ones for motorcycle routes in various regions of the state – provide pre-designated routes to visit with unique stopping points along the way and helpful links.· The home page of the site provides direct links to Twitter (VisitNH/Visit NH_Intl) and Flickr (VisitNH) and now Facebook (Visit NH) for those visitors wishing to document their trip with tweets, videos and photo uploads as they go.
New Hampshire is committed to continuously upgrading and adding new travel tools to the site to make it easy to navigate, gather and share information with others. In addition to the above enhancements, new micro sites were added recently to help wedding, group, and meeting planners obtain information on holding their events in New Hampshire. The new sites, www.meetings.visitnh.gov; www.weddings.visitnh.gov; and www.reunions.visitnh.gov are one-stop shopping micro sites designed to provide convenience, technology and ease of use to assist individuals and groups looking for the ideal New Hampshire venue to hold weddings, meetings, conferences, reunions and special events.
