Québec City at Bordeaux fête le vin

Québec City will be the guest of honour at the Bordeaux wine festival held from June 24 to 27, 2010 in Bordeaux, France.

As Bordeaux’s sister city, Québec City representatives will be taking the opportunity to make the city and its surrounding area known to investors, tourists, future immigrants and students. Its booth will feature aspects that attract French visitors and make Québec City stand out from other destinations: its knowledge economy and cultural and hi-tech environment near the great outdoors. In short, a mythical image updated for the 21st century.

Québec City at the Olympic Games

A few days before the end of the Olympic Games in Vancouver, the typically Quebec dishes created by Maison du Québec’s official caterer, George V, were quickly snapped up. Hôtel Château Laurier Québec’s banquet and catering service was a huge hit with visitors!

Emergency orders had to be placed and several additional local ingredients had to be shipped from Quebec to meet demand. Quebec cheeses, meat pies, ham croissants, maple dishes. all were in great demand.

This magical experience gave thousands of people from around the world an opportunity to discover or rediscover foods typical of Quebec.

Congratulations to our athletes from the Québec City area!

Québec City Tourism would like to congratulate the regional athletes who competed in the Games.
