The Religious Patrimony of Île d’Orléans

The Religious Patrimony of Île d’Orléans is a new brochure showcasing centuries of heritage of Île d’Orléans, which is both an island in the St. Lawrence River and a historical borough in its own right. There is a particular focus on architecture and original works, including art, furniture, stained-glass windows and ornamentation.

This beautifully illustrated brochure describes the noteworthy or unique treasures found on Île d’Orléans, be they architectural, artistic or cultural in nature. The strength of this comprehensive document lies in the abundance of complementary information, such as a map of the island indicating major sites, a timeline of the island’s history and detailed visual glossaries.

Download the brochure in PDF format.

Addition of the Véloroute Marie-Hélène-Prémont to the Route verte bike route

The Véloroute Marie-Hélène-Prémont bike path stretches for nearly 55 km (33 mi.) over a large part of the Beaupré Coast, leading past the Montmorency Falls, the attractions along avenue Royale (known as the New France Route), the Petit-Pré Mill and the magnificent Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area. Few cycling routes have so many cultural, historical and natural attractions on the itinerary as the Véloroute, which is now part of the most extensive bike route in North America, the Route verte.

Inaugurated in 2007, the Route verte is over 4400 km (2640 mi.) long and comprises bike paths, quiet shared roads and paved shoulders.
