Celebrate Classic Cinema with Ojai Valley Inn & Spa
August 5, 2010. (Ojai, CA)—Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is paying homage to classic films over the coming months with the Ojai Classic Film Series. This Series, which began last month, celebrates three timeless films: West Side Story, To Kill a Mockingbird and The Birds.
On August 21, 2010, the series will feature To Kill a Mockingbird, one of the most influential films ever made. Ojai Valley Inn & Spa will be hosting Mary Badham, the 1962 Oscar Nominee for Best Supporting Actress, who played the roll of Scout, for a question and answer period. The Q&A period will begin at 7:45pm, followed by the movie at 8:45pm.
The third and final film, The Birds, the 1963 Alfred Hitchcock classic starring Tippi Hedren, will be screened on October 30th. A yet to be named actor from the film will be attending the event.
The town of Ojai is no stranger to hosting major film events. From November 4th to 7th, the Ojai Film Festival will take place in the Ojai Valley, giving attendees the chance to see some groundbreaking new films.
