Ojai Valley Inn & Spa’s 2nd Annual Celebrity Chef Classic

August 30, 2010. (Ojai, CA)–Enjoy a weekend filled with food, wine and golf at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa’s 2nd Annual Celebrity Chef Classic, October 15 – 17, 2010. Hit the links alongside some of California’s most innovative chefs including Chef Budi Kazali of the Ballard Inn & Restaurant in Santa Barbara, Chef Bradley Ogden of Lark Creek Steak in San Francisco, Chef Mark Peel of Campanile in Los Angeles, Chef Ben Ford of Ford’s Filling Station in Culver City, as well as the Inn’s own Executive Chef Jamie West.

The Celebrity Chef Classic kicks off Friday evening with a VIP cocktail reception by the new Herb Garden Pool with wine and appetizers presented by each celebrity chef. Shotgun begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday where guests have the opportunity to play Ojai’s greens, designed by George C. Thomas, Jr. and home to seven PGA Senior Tour events, alongside our participating chefs and celebrities. The tournament will be followed by an awards ceremony and reception in Jimmy’s Pub. The event commences with a celebratory gala dinner and live auction Saturday evening.

Proceeds from the event will benefit two important charities – Help of Ojai (www.helpofojai.org), the largest social services organization in the Ojai Valley, and Share Our Strength (www.strength.org), a national organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger.
