Brantford, ON? Driving Miss Daisy, an award winning play will be performed
in Brantford, ON at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts on Friday
October 9, 2009, 2:00 & 8:00 p.m.
This award winning play presented by Retired Productions and in
partnership with the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts will be
presented by some of Brantford’s best community performers. The story
defines Daisy (played by Jean Solis) and her point of view through a
network of relationships and emotions by focusing on her home life,
synagogue, friends, family, fears, and concerns. Hoke (played by Vern
Payne) is rarely seen out of Miss Daisy’s presence, although the title
implies that the story is told from his perspective. Driving Miss Daisy
won the Academy Award for Best Picture and was the last PG rated film to
do so
Re-live this touching story of friendship through the years between Hoke,
Miss Daisy and Boolie played by Garry Graham and directed by Joan Prior.
