WATERFORD HARVEST FESTIVAL
From September 3 to 11, visitors can enjoy this city-wide festival celebrating food heritage and culture in Waterford. The nine-day, fun-filled celebration is full of foodie events including cooking demonstrations, food tours, foodie films, tastings, taste workshops, restaurant trails, quayside markets, BBQs, street performances and outdoor music gigs.

 

DINGLE FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL
From October 1 to 2, this picturesque Co Kerry town will host this two-day festival featuring a variety of cooking demonstrations by local and national chefs, a food and wine market, and a culinary food trail where shops twinned with artisan producers will highlight the town’s food.

 

SAVOUR KILKENNY
From October 28 to 31, visitors to this food festival can expect lots of quirky ideas from food demonstrations, artisan tasting menus and an all-out party atmosphere throughout the medieval town of Kilkenny.

TRAIL KILKENNY
The Kilkenny Food Trail invites visitors to experience the rich and varied food culture of County Kilkenny by discovering the countryside farms and city restaurants where they can sample their goods.

GOOD FOOD IRELAND FOOD GUIDE

Top Irish food promoter Good Food Ireland has published a new ‘digitally enhanced’ touring guide to the best culinary experiences around the Emerald Isle.

 

The guide is unique in that the printed edition can connect to a digital version via a mobile phone app. Each culinary destination listed in the guide has a ‘QR code’ beside its entry. When a smartphone user scans the code with their mobile device it instantly displays a local Google map directing food lovers to the location. The guide features a range of high-quality restaurants, pubs, cafes, hotels and cookery schools – all Good Food Ireland members – that are committed to an Irish ingredient-led, fresh produce experience, thus supporting local farmers, food producers and fishermen.
