Montreal HIGH LIGHTS Festival! Tickets on sale!

Hello,

Montréal, “the city of festivals,” known for its superb cuisine, vibrant nightlife and cultural scene, will heat up winter again with the Montréal HIGH LIGHTS Festival and a special edition Celebrating Women presented in partnership with L’Oréal Canada, from Thursday, February 17 to Sunday, February 27, 2011.

This 12th edition of Montréal’s popular urban winter party features an unrivalled performing arts series, exceptional food and wine tasting events and brilliant light shows, including a multitude of complimentary activities attracting adults and children alike.

The SAQ Wine and Dine Experience presented by Air France, the wine and dine segment of the festival, was quick to become the culinary event in North America. Pairing international chefs with Montréal chefs, the festival has welcomed close to 400 chefs, wine producers, and speakers over the past 11 years.

Celebrating Women: An All-star Line-up of Female Chefs and Wine Producers

This year’s special edition of the festival will pay tribute to some 50 exceptional women chefs and wine producers from around the world who will come to Montréal to take part in the festival.

One of haute cuisine’s brightest culinary stars, Chef Anne‑Sophie Pic of Valence’s Maison Pic—the sole woman in France to have earned three Michelin stars—will serve as honorary president of the SAQ Wine and Dine Experience presented by Air France.

The chefs participating in the popular Finest Tables pairings include Cristina Bowerman of Glass Hostaria (Rome, Italy); Melissa Craig of Bearfoot Bistro (Whistler, Canada); Anne Desjardins of L’Eau à la Bouche (Sainte-Adèle, Canada); Barbara Lynch of No. 9 Park (Boston, United States); Anita Lo of Annisa (New York, United States); Claudia Schröter of Taku Restaurant (Cologne, Germany) and Roberta Sudbrack of Sudbrack (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.)

This year’s wine ambassadors include Maryline Cuillier of Champagne Cuillier (Champagne, France); Ann Sperling of Southbrook Vineyards (Ontario, Canada), Hélène Garcin of Bodega Poesia (Mendoza, Argentina), Judi Cullam of Frankland Estate (Western Australia, Australia); Cristina Geminiani of Fattoria Zerbina (Emilia-Romagna, Italy); Kristin Lane of Hope Family Wines (California, United States); and Véronique Sanders of Château Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Leognan (Bordeaux, France).
