Expanded Cliff at Cap

September 6, 2012, Cap Estate, Saint Lucia, W.I. – Cap Maison, set on a stunning four-acre, cliff-top parcel of land a few minutes north of Rodney Bay, has a secluded location within the exclusive Cap Estate area. As it approaches its 5th anniversary year in 2013, Cap Maison is offering singles a break on rates, pioneering the Pop-Up restaurant trend on St. Lucia, and expanding its restaurant and bar. A new Guest Chef series and the romantic new Rock Pool round out the news for 2013.

Single Special

Single travelers rarely get a break, and often get charged more than their fair share. But Cap Maison has decided to cut them a deal with their Single Special. Single travelers who book any room or suite for a minimum 7-night stay as single occupancy will receive a 30% reduction off the double rate. This is valid for a minimum 7-night stay completed between June 1 and September, 30 2013.

Pop-Up Cliff at Cap

Who said you need to go to Paris or Brooklyn in search of a Pop-Up restaurant? Executive Chef Craig Jones of Cap Maison’s Cliff at Cap restaurant now takes his act – and kitchen –on the road for Pop-Up Cliff at Cap, St. Lucia’s first pop-up experience. The first of the monthly Pop-Up Cliff at Cap dinners was dubbed “Over the Moon” by Chef Jones, who packed an Evo grill and drove a refrigerated van to a dramatic bluff high on the east coast of Cap Estate. Forty guests arrived for the sell-out event, where Chef Jones “did a take on a Caesar salad” with a cauliflower and parmesan panna cotta, finely shredded romaine, tapenade, and bacon dust. For a main course, he served grilled salmon & seared scallops, with an avocado puree & mango salsa with fennel shavings. Desert was a small box of chocolate truffles. Future Pop-Up Cliff at Cap dinners are scheduled for October 26, November 16 and December 14, 2012, and will continue throughout the winter 2013 season. The price for a three-course menu is EC$145 (approximately $50) and is B.Y.O.B.

Expanding the Bar

Cap Maison has just expanded and extended the hip and happening Cliff Bar, with 14 new seats that offer fantastic sea views. The resort has also expanded the seating capacity for the popular Cliff at Cap restaurant, where the highly regarded cuisine of Executive Chef Craig Jones draws guests and visitors to its legendary Sunday Lobster Lunch, and other culinary and wine events.

Cliff at Cap’s 3rd Annual Celebrity Guest Chefs Series

Cliff at Cap begins its third annual Celebrity Guest Chef Series guest chef’s series on January 18 and 19, 2013, kicking off with Executive Chef Julian Marshall of London’s famed Bleeding Heart Restaurant. Two more chefs will follow later in the winter.

Cap Maison’s New Rock Pool

Cap Maison has just unveiled a new Rock Pool, a natural rock pool that fills with sea water as the waves surge to the base of the cliff. Thanks to a submerged bench, it’s an ideal place for guests to immerse themselves while enjoying a cocktail. Three carved out “ice buckets” are also in the rocks, ready for a freshly delivered bottle of white wine or champagne. This may well be Cap Maison’s best kept secret until now.

Cap Maison is set on a stunning four-acre, cliff-top parcel of land just minutes north of popular Rodney Bay, and features 50 artfully appointed suites and guest rooms. The property has been selected by Condé Nast Traveler as a “Hot List” Hotel in 2009, and has also become a Virtuoso Hotel in 2009 as well as a member of the Preferred Boutique Hotels group, adding to St. Lucia’s unprecedented growth in luxury developments over the years. Other stand-out features include The Cliff at Cap, the resort’s signature restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Executive Chef Craig Joes serves a French West Indian-inspired contemporary menu based on fresh local products and seafood. The resort also features a 2,000 square foot intimate and serene spa with an adjacent garden that provides herbs for signature indigenous treatments, as well as a private 46-foot luxury yacht available for evening voyages, wedding parties, special events and day or overnight excursions to any of the nearby Windward Islands.
