World’s First Global Musical Instrument Museum to Open April, 2010 in Phoenix
The Musical Instrument Museum will open April 24, 2010 in Phoenix and celebrate
the similarities and differences of the world’s cultures as expressed through music
– a language common to us all. With musical instruments from every country in the
work, MIM will pay homage to the history and diversity of instruments and introduce
museum guests to their varied and unique sounds. The 190,000 square foot museum
will immerse guests in the sights and sounds of the instruments being played and
feature an intimate, 299 seat state of the art Music Theater for live music that

State Capitol Christmas Tree from Arizona
For the first time in history, Arizona has been invited to provide the United States
Congress with the Capitol Christmas Tree. Placed in front of the Capitol Building,
Arizona’s gift from the grand state will be a 75 ft conifer tree selected from the
Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.Found in the White Mountains of northeastern
Arizona, the tree will be harvested in the Alpine area on Saturday, November 7th.
It will hold more than 5,000 handmade ornaments from Arizona’s school children and
